Aid groups consider pooling donations

Aid groups in the United States are discussing a proposal to pool donations received for Haiti relief and allocate it to organizations best able to meet identified needs.  Such a fundraising strategy enables small organizations to obtain financial support based on their contributions to relief and not on the strength of their marketing programs (NYTimes).
